Demonstrate a satisfactory understanding of prenatal and neonatal conditions affecting infant mortality and morbidity.

Discuss maternal conditions and complications that place infants at high risk.

Understand and evaluate common cardiopulmonary pathological conditions afflicting newborn and pediatric patients.

Identify conditions in the infant and pediatric patient for which continuous positive airway pressure and mechanical ventilation are indicated.

Apply physiologic principles to the process of modifying and monitoring infant or pediatric cardiopulmonary function.
