Objective
Preform in the neonatal/pediatric ICU and adult ICU: suctioning (ET or in line) (3) , resuscitation (2), ET tube care (2), trach care (1), cuff management (2), in line MDI or SVN (3), ABGs (2), set up ventilator via ETT or trach (3), routine vent check (4), vent parameter change (4), vent graphic analysis (4), and ventilator liberation/ or weaning (2) ** These must be documented in Trajecsys. This list is for the full 8 weeks.
Objective
The student and the preceptor will discuss various aspects of each procedure and look for opportunities to apply it to clinical practice that day. The student will be tested on his or her knowledge and understanding of the procedure through the competency. The procedures that are required during this rotation include the following listed below. The required number of each procedure is listed in parentheses.
