To provide students, correctional employees, and those contemplating careers in criminal justice or corrections with a broad-based knowledge on effective workplace behaviors and techniques in handling and understanding prisoners.

Emphasis will be placed on workplace environments, health and safety, team work, diversity, career enhancement, and interpersonal skills as they relate not only to prisoners but to coworkers as well.
