Course Description

This course explores food production systems used in urban environments throug applied, hands on learning. Students will work with hydroponic systems, controlled environment production, and raised beds to grow food crops, collect growth and environmental data, estimate yields, and understand regulatory and food safety requirements. Produce grown will be donated to local food banks.
