Course Description
This course provides the student with an introduction to clinical medical office practices, including infection control, OSHA safety standards, medical and surgical asepsis, patient intake and screening, effective communication, vital signs, assisting the provider during the examination, responding to emergencies, identifying anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of body systems, and identifying the nutritional aspects of health. This course allows the student to practice psychomotor and affective competencies in the lab setting. This class must be taken with MA102Lec.
