Department(s)
Course Description
This course introduces the fundamentals of control systems used in automated technologies. Students will learn how control systems are designed and how various components-such as sensors, transformers, motors, drives, and controllers-work together to manage and regulate automated processes. Topics include discrete and analog inputs, DC and AC motor control, servo systems, variable frequency drives, and PID control concepts. Emphasis is placed on understanding system operation, performance, and troubleshooting through practical exercises and laboratory applications.
